Description
Do you remember those special fuzzy feelings you used to get during that special time of year when you were a kid? This song attempts to bring you back to those warm feelings, but in a very contemporary jazz kind of way.
Saxophonist, Antonio Jackson returns with his first release since 2014 in this warm and groove-oriented selection geared toward that nostalgia of those old fashioned holiday feelings that we get during the Christmas and Holiday Season. The song is driven by the soft and tasty vocals of Duyen, who guides the listener’s imagination back to every little boy and little girl’s winter holiday dream… the first snowfall.
Antonio Jackson makes his attempt to channel the late Grover Washington Jr. by focusing on a warmer tone and a more melodic approach. Still, he breaks out into his own style and weaves in and out of the vocals as the song swings and vamps to its conclusion. Going back to days of the classic analog recordings, the production adds a little extra crunch to the mix to make the track sound vintage and raw… pulling slightly away from the polished radio productions of today.
While not a Christmas song, this selection fits into the season perfectly but can easily be listened to at any time of the year simply because of its contemporary swing and melodic sense. May you enjoy this new contemporary classic each year.
“This is forever music. Music you can listen to over and over again for years to come. Your best work to date. I know… the best is yet to come! Love your music” – Rosemarie
