Performing at the Royal Albert Hall in London was a prestigious experience, offering our band a chance to grace a historic stage renowned for its exceptional acoustics and grand architecture.

I have been on some wonderful stages over the years, but performing at the Royal Albert Hall was one amazing experience. Playing with Alexander O’Neal and his iconic band was breathtaking!

The day started off with me taking an Uber from my hotel to meet up with our Musical Director Billy Osborne. From there we would drive into London. At the time I was staying in Barking, Uk right outside of London. The drive in was beautiful. We saw every landmark that thee was to see.  Upon our arrival we would do our usual check-in and head to the guys dressing room. Once settled, me and Kevin Sutherland (Keys) went outside to explore the surroundings. Kevin showed me some key landmarks and shared some history. Along the way we met some fans of Alex and took pictures.

Once back inside it was time to get ready for the show. This performance would mark the final show for this Farewell Tour.  Once we were all in the prep room, we gathered, locked hands and Alex led us in prayer (as usual before each show). Now… showtime.

The show opened with a special and amazing performance by Momma Freedom who  rocked the stage and set the tone for what was to come. As you may have already read, I have been introducing Alex at every show for the entire tour. This has been a complete honor for me.  Once I made the introduction, it was showtime.

The show was nothing short of electrifying. The moment I stepped on stage, I could feel the energy radiating from the packed house, a perfect blend of anticipation and nostalgia for one of soul and R&B’s most iconic voices. The band was locked in, their musicianship razor-sharp, creating the perfect foundation for Alexander’s unmistakable vocals. Each song became a shared experience between the performers and the audience, who responded with cheers, applause, and sing-alongs that filled the grand hall’s legendary acoustics.

What made the night truly unforgettable was when Alex stopped the show and asked his longtime partner Cynthia to marry him once he brought her on stage. Then brings on Russell Watson to sing with! The sense of history and intimacy that The Royal Albert Hall brings, plus that iconic special moment made the show unforgettable. Surrounded by its iconic architecture and bathed in its warm, golden lighting, it felt as if time stood still — just music, soul, and connection. On our final song “Fake” Alex brought up one of his youngest and most famous fans, little Raven and the Orpheus Center Children. This was an amazing experience!

Overall
Sharing the stage with Alexander O’Neal, delivering those smooth, soulful melodies, and watching the audience light up with every note was a powerful reminder of why live music matters. It was a night that celebrated not just the music, but the joy of being present together in such a prestigious venue, and one I will always treasure.

This iconic venue, steeped in cultural significance, provides an unforgettable atmosphere that inspires both performers and audiences alike.

Visiting London, England, offers a vibrant blend of rich history, diverse culture, and iconic landmarks, from the majestic Tower of London to the modern marvel of the Shard. With its world-class museums, bustling markets, and charming neighborhoods, the city provides an endless array of experiences for every traveler.

Overall, traveling to the United Kingdom on Alexander O’Neal’s Farewell Tour has been a wonderful and incredible experience! Tonight’s Show was yet another fantastic showcase of a legendary performance by Alexander O’Neal and an amazing performance by a collection of musicians and vocalists that will blow your socks off!
